VPS ping test: find the fastest data centre
The closer your server is to your users, the snappier everything feels — SSH, websites, game servers, VPNs. Press the button and your browser will measure the round-trip time to public test endpoints in each data centre. Nothing is installed.
How to read the result
- Under 80 ms — excellent. Interactive work, VPNs and game servers feel local.
- 80–180 ms — fine for websites, bots, APIs and most self-hosted apps.
- Over 180 ms — noticeable lag for SSH and gaming; still OK for batch jobs, backups and crawlers.
Pick the location closest to your users, not necessarily to you. A shop for German customers belongs in Frankfurt even if you live in Thailand. For a personal VPN or a dev box, pick the fastest location from this list.
Why the numbers differ from game ping
The test times a small HTTPS request, so it includes a little request overhead on top of the raw network delay. The absolute numbers may be a few milliseconds higher than an ICMP ping, but the order of locations — which one is fastest for you — is the same.
